Guest mountain
I am trying to decide if this curriculum is worth the investment. There are three versions to consider on top of that. I would be using the curriculum with a 4th grader who is a good speller and avid reader. She hates the spelling curriculum I was using, so I need a new approach with more purpose. Mom22ns
We use WW. It is a decent vocabulary program, but my avid reader doesn't really need one. For him I like the practice with different question formats and pulling answers from a story - he can get facts but still struggles with inferences. If you dd is good with all of that, it will be just as much of a waste of her time as spelling. Christianbook.com has sample pages.
amys
My son has the same problem, and I like WW for the same reason! He also struggles with expressing his thoughts in words, so the passage and questions at the end of each unit are excellent practice for him. He likes exercises A-D well enough, but hates this part! We use WW 3000 2nd edition. I just noticed the website has games for students--took me long enough. We've been using it for 2 1/2 years! http://wordlywise3000.com Amy We use WW.
