chalkboard
In light of the big sale this company is having right now. Has anyone used this course? Can you compare it to any other well known Geometry courses? (I'm asking for a friend, whose dc just scored extremely well on the ACT, but still needs to complete senior year and finish a Geometry course) Susan

Miss Marple
I think it is. In fact, I purchased it this past spring in order for the boys to hone their geometry skills for the April ACT. It's a relatively quick and painless review. One note, though, DS#2 did find a couple of errors in the answer key.

I was looking at it as well, but I'm going to wait 'til nxt summer to see if it's on sale then.....
tinag
You might find them on Netflix.com. You need the name of the professor to search for it on netflix. Found it: http://www.netflix.com/WiSearch?v1=Geometry: Lesson 1: Fundamental Geometric Concepts&oq=geomet Edited August 9, 2010 by tinag
Guest Sandy3boys
You just saved me $80 and storage as well. What a blessing!
Julieofsardis
The problem with Netflix is that they are not all available and sometimes you have to wait a good while on certain lessons and they are listed by title of lesson, so it's hard to tell which one is next. They have lesson number, but only after you click on the individual title. It was all too much trouble for me, so I found a used set of VCR tapes on Amazon for cheap. Haven't gotten all the through them yet, but so far they're good.
A.Balaban
Also check your library. I was recently browsing through the video section and I found a BUNCH of nonfiction audio books/CDs/Dvds etc from the Teaching Company. My library has a loan system where if you cannot get it at their library, they will check with other libraries within the same county, and if it is not there, then they will check with the county next door, and if it is not there, they will check the entire states library database to find it. And I live in a big state (PA) so I am sure if I needed something I could find it. Also, you can always tell a librarian that you'd like for them to place an order for it. :) My library has an online request form and I filled a couple out and I got an email back sayign they had ordered it!
