Nestof3
I thought I deleted all of my homeschooling bookmarks. Then, I vaguely remembered seeing a "move these bookmarks" warning earlier. I searched within other folders and found my homeschooling bookmarks. I had just organized them and purged some last night! :tongue_smilie: So, needless to say, I backed them up. Consider yourself warned. :)
Elizabeth in WA
Yes! Do this. I have had catastrophic hard drive failures in the past and lost everything. Backup your bookmarks AND all you important files. I keep all my homeschool files backed up together on a flash drive. I am so much more careful since losing everything on the last day of NaNoWriMo last year. Hubby was able to get some stuff off the harddrive by mounting it on another computer and running checkdisk, but it was really stressful and pretty touch and go - and not everything was able to be recovered. lailasmum
I started using delicious after my last complete hard drive faliure that lost all my bookmarks. It part of yahoo and integrated into firefox if you download the tool thingy. I don't know if it works with other browsers.
Nestof3
For Internet Explorer 8, go to favorites, then click on arrow next to "add to favorites," then you will see import and export. Choose export and then save this file to a location you will remember. I have tried and failed to do so. How does one back up your favorites? mrbmom77
I've started using www.myhq.com . Or if you use Gmail, you can use their toolbar instead of your browser's. I really need to update it - thanks for the reminder.
