mammaruss
I will be having a Radiofrequency Neurotomy tomorrow! I have been excited that I will have relief from my occipital nerve headaches and daily pain --who wouldn't love that??!!! I was excited until today--now I am scared to death--and because I am so nervous-I am keep finding myself eating those darn glow in the dark orange "cheese" balls--who brought those into the house anyways??:glare: This is just an outpatient procedure--in an out in a couple hours-with an IV conscious sedation. I will have an increase in pain and muscle spasm for the next week or two as the nerve dies...I am not afraid of that--if I can survive hundreds of occipital nerve headaches I can deal with this...So, I don't understand why I am allowing myself to get so worked up??!! I am shaking as I write this--and I am trying to hide my shakiness from the family--don't want them getting worked up with me! I am just venting--thanks for listening!:D

RoughCollie
You are scared because this is a new experience and you don't know exactly what to expect. I would be scared, too. Try to distract yourself. Visualize yourself as being relaxed through the entire process of going to the hospital, the procedure, the recovery period, going home, and then being free of these headaches forever. Take deep, calming breaths. You will be fine. Visualize it! :grouphug: RC

Only a little less than 10 hours to go now... :grouphug:
