Jean in Newcastle
I've seen them in sandwiches but what kind of sandwiches are best with sprouts? Can you do anything else with them? Are they worth doing anything with nutritionally?
thescrappyhomeschooler
I like to stuff them in a whole wheat pita or wrap with hummus and other veggies. I also put them on top of green salads.
Mom in High Heels
Indy loves broccoli sprouts. I spread multi-grain bread with cream cheese and then top with sprouts and turkey. This is Indy's favorite sandwich. We also eat them inside a whole wheat pita with a little lettuce, tomato and tuna salad. Yummy.
Food4Thought
I use alfalfa sprouts in salads, wraps & sandwiches. My favorite pad thai recipe uses mung bean sprouts, so they are cooked in stir fry. DS likes to eat the mung bean sprouts plain as a snack.
