Moxie
We're going to do the tests with MUS for the first time this year. Do you give a time limit and if so, how long is it?
Sasharowan
No, never have. I have occasionally given warnings that I am tired of waiting around to grade the thing but that's when they keep piping into conversations instead of focusing on math. Guest Cheryl in SoCal
No. If he/she takes a long time I would suspect that they aren't ready for the test yet.

Night Elf
No. Mr. Steve teaches mastery. I'm more concerned with dd12 showing me she knows how to do the problems over her showing how fast she can do them. But I'll say she never dawdles. She loves math, particularly MUS. nicholsonhomeschool
For what it is worth, I emailed the support person at MUS with this very question last year. I have a dawdler on my hands... The person who replied expressed little concern over the time, but referred me to the discussion boards on their website. I never followed up, but instead implemented incentives like, "if you finish this in X minutes, we'll have time to play a game of chess afterwards." I agree that mastery is the aim, not time limits.
