johnandtinagilbert
The mile long blog post is here. I am beat. I can't wait until we find the rhythm of our new schedule and the dc are used to moving independently throughout the day. I know we'll get there and I'm thankful for a successful week...I am, however, wiped out!
imhim
Good for you! I am wiped out, too. But I have no independents here, and I'm pregnant. One week down! Zillion more to go ...
ChemMommy
I'm still planning for this coming year and really don't want to think about starting yet!
Sasharowan
I'm worn out just from repeating, "Yes, it's different from last year, yes, you are doing more work, you're older now!" and "No, ds4, no video games until the weekend. Only school movies."
johnandtinagilbert
I'm worn out just from repeating, "Yes, it's different from last year, yes, you are doing more work, you're older now!" and "No, ds4, no video games until the weekend. Only school movies." ditto on the no video games and mine was, "You're in 3rd grade now. Stop whining. I expect you to try and read your own directions before you ask for help." Little booger was driving me nutty. He actually got sent to bed today at 6:30 b/c I'm over him today. Simply over him.
FO4UR
Way to go!!!:001_smile: I get tired just reading your blog...you deserve some rest...and chocolate! We had a good first week too, and not too much whining actually. We had our share of teaching and re-teaching (and re-re-teaching:glare:) how NOT to interrupt a sibling's lesson. I think we lost a few crayons too...:001_huh:

tampamommy
You did great Tina, as did your children! Try to relax and have a blessed weekend. (Is there an icon of a little smile face sleeping?)
HappyGrace
Glad it went so well! I really enjoyed reading about it (as always!) You inspire me!! How did you plan out your memory work, ie, how did you decide what to memorize, how long to spend on each piece of memory work, how long each piece should be for each age group, etc.? Do you have a schedule you'd care to share? :)
FO4UR
speaking of lost crayons...a little Friday humor! LOL! I have one of those boxes, only I never thought to label it! You should see the school supplies I find when I go through their toy boxes...I fill up my "empty" box and take it to the school cabinet and sort. (Cuisenaire Rods, crayons, stetro grips, paper clips...)
