Di3kids Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 for my 5th grade dd. Looking for something she could do independently but still learn something. This would be our first time using a computer for an entire subject. Not sure if the student does experiments (which she enjoys). Thoughts? Thanks so much. Quote
Guest Cheryl in SoCal Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Well, I found SOS (the base program) to be a pain and find the material dry. It's very "read this fill in the blank" kind of stuff. I bought Health Quest in SOS form and we just couldn't stomach it so I gave it away and bought Health Quest in LIFEPAC form. It was more tolerable but soooooo dry and boring. If I hadn't needed it for the credit I never would have bought it. Quote
DawnM Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 You kind of watch the experiments being done rather than do them yourself. My two boys are using it this year for science because I just couldn't do it with them this year. They are learning but I am undecided if we will do it again or not. It has met our needs for thins year though. Dawn Quote
