Nestof3
I plan on making some hedghogs (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Hedgehogs/Detail.aspx?prop31=2) and chewy date nut bars (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chewy-Date-Nut-Bars/Detail.aspx?prop31=1) with this huge bag of pitted dates that I bought. Don't ask. ;) I also know you can make a crust with dates and nuts. What kind of pie would be great with this? Does anyone have experience with these sorts of crusts? kalanamak
Shoo-fly pie would be delicious in this.
Rhea
We use nut crusts all the time. I think a no bake banana cream pie would be good in your date nut crust. :) We do a lot of raw, so my recipe calls for young coconut meat as part of the "cream" part. If you want it, I'll type it in for you. :)

Rhea
Inside of a young Thai Coconut. :) Not many people (me included) have those on hand. I have substituted Artisana Coconut Butter for it.
