I have just finished making my photocopies of activities for our upcoming year of earth science, and I photocopied 90 percent of the activities. They are great for hands-on, papercrafts people. The book also includes experiments for the activities.

You will recognize the author, Donald M. Silver, from the One Small Square books. He has also written some other great teacher resource books for Scholastic.

Guest ME-Mommy

A friend of mine just bought this book -- after using the Body Book by the same author. She really likes his material and said the activities/crafts are easy and fun!!

:iagree: This was on my wish list for 2 years because the price was like $300 or something ridiculous like that. Unbelievable! I finally got it in April for $20 + shipping. It's an awful lot for something like this, but it is a wonderful book and we plan on using it for most of this year.

A few months ago, it looked like it had come back into print. Amazon was selling it normally. I don't know what was up with that.

This site has a link to lesson plans/activities for use with this book:

This site is geared more towards clasroom teachers but it looks like some good stuff! There is als a link to another site with activities and it says the plans can be used without the book, in case you can't find it. I haven't read all the way through it yet, but it gets some high reviews.
