ldee
My children love books on cd. We have exhausted our library in the children's section, I have all the Henty and Jim Hodges mp3's, we have all the Odyssey's and Jonathan Park's. They want more though. What are some good suggestions for a 12 yo boy and a 10 yo girl. Mostly for him though. There may be more out there I can order through an audio library. Thanks, Ldee

Jyniffrec
Odds Bodkin would be great for your kids. We have two of his story CDs, Sir Percival and The Odyssey. He composes all of the music and plays it himself. The instruments he uses are unusual and beautiful. He also does all of the narration. The Sir Percival story is well worth a preteen boy hearing. It is very much about a boy becoming a man. Jim Weiss is another great story teller who has CDs. Librivox.org is another great source for books on CD. I love playing books and stories on CD for my children!
Homemama2
We love the Chronicles of Narnia by Focus on the Family. It's not just read by one person.....it has sound effects etc. Really great! I got mine at Barnes and Nobles but RR has it too.

Dee_Garretson
My children and I loved GREGOR THE OVERLANDER by Suzanne Collins on CD. It's a five book fantasy series for the 9-13 age range.
BearLair
In our house if you ask for the favorite audio book around Christmas time you would hear A Christmas Carol read by Jim Dale. For the rest of the year the vote for favorite would go to the Kingdom series and here's a link to those: http://perfect-praise.com/index_files/Page266.htm

Satori
I don't have particular suggestions for that age range, but I just wanted to mention this. Our library offers a free audiobook website where we can download audiobooks. It's been awesome! We've been listening to so many books in the car now. I can check out 4 at a time and get new ones every week. Or use both our library accounts to double that. So I'd ask your library if they have anything like that.
