cdrumm4448
I recently tested ds with the ITBS from Brewer Testing Services. They won't release his scores because they claim I didn't return the instruction manual. I explained to them that not only do I not have it, I distinctly remember shoving two booklets into the envelope ( I was worried they wouldn't fit-as it was they made the envelope curl.) I explained this to them and it didn't matter. So, I paid them an additional $25 for the manual I don't have. My question is, are there any online testing options for the ITBS or something similar so we don't have to go through this again? Thanks. hillfarm
I don't know of any online options but wanted to add that I had a similar experience with Bob Jones testing services and the ITBS. The booklets I received had a few smudges here and there, nothing to detract from their use. I was very careful with them and did not allow any further damage to occur. I mailed everything in and then got a call that they would not release one of the student's results due to damage to the booklet. At that point they have you and they know it. So I paid the extra money to cover the cost of a replacement. And I will Never. Use. BJU. ever again. For whatever it cost them to replace one booklet (and I'm not even sure they did because there was no damage), they have lost all income from students I will test in the future and also have to counteract the bad press they will get when I honestly describe my experience to other homeschoolers. Just as I teach my 11yo dd, actions have consequences.
cdrumm4448
It was very disappointing. I hate testing in the first place; it isn't required by Illinois, but I do it for my own peace of mind. But this time I paid a fortune!
