Hunting down deals on next year's curricula is making me crazy

Recommended Posts

I made my decision late, because I was waiting to see the goods at our convention (which was last weekend). Now I'm stuck battling every other procrastinator and it's making me nuts. I might as well buy new for the prices that the used stuff is going for, but I don't have the funds for new!

:banghead:

I'm getting into obsessive mode (which isn't fun for anyone in my family), because there have been a few good deals that I haven't been quick enough to snag. So now I'm running searches on homeschool classifieds 8 times a day, just in case someone lists something.

If anyone out there plans on selling MFW Adventures soon, pm me!

I'm sitting here with my dd's grammar that just came today. I spent a couple weeks and missed three opportunities to buy her Rod and Staff 7 grammar used. FINALLY got it off ebay. I feel your frustration. Have you done searches for other used curriculum sites? I found a few I didn't know about as I was desperately seeking. Good luck-hang in there!!

Oh, I know exactly what you're talking about! I took awhile to make up my mind, and now that I know what I want...it's not there. I search the forum constantly...but have had very little luck.

Of course, the one day that I was away for a doctor's appointment...yep, someone had Chalkdust Basic Math and someone else had Rightstart A. Just.my.luck...

And I agree, the prices have not been very good. I was looking for the SOTW 1 Activity Guide on here. The price was only $3 or $4 cheaper than a new one, with free shipping, off Amazon. I keep running into that with other things, too. And for me, if I'm going to save less than $15, I would just rather go ahead and get the new one.

So...I guess I'll keep looking...:tongue_smilie:

Have you tried the MFW yahoo group?

I am down to our science curriculum and I cannot find the most recent version for a deal anywhere. If one does come up for sale, it is either the old version, still priced way too high, or the recent version for close to the price of new. That's one I will probably be buying new but at least I have a code for free shipping and CBD has a good deal on it.
