j_thurm
Hi, I am going to be doing a K-2nd grade Children of the World Theme. I would love the theme to be from a Christian point of view but am open to secular as well. Does anyone know of any good online resources or teaching books or any other ideas? Thanks! Snowfall
I don't know exactly what you want to do, but have you looked at the book Children Just Like Me? It's areligious, so you could add or not add whatever you wanted. It wouldn't do for planning an entire curriculum unless you're very creative, but it would be good as a nice addition to whatever you use. amyrjoy
I am doing this same thing .... I am using a few items, such as a multi cultural calendar, children's mission devotional book, galloping the globe, etc to help with it. Here is a post on my blog that shows a few things I am using. I will be putting more blog posts up soon that are more specific. Amy in KS
LOVED this!!! We did it as a co-op. You can print off activity pages (including simple mapwork) and passport stamps off the web for free. They will also send you a nice passport to put it in. http://www.lcms.org/pages/internal.asp?NavID=2530 I also loved Children Around the World by Hodges-Cabellero. It has facts, history, recipes, activities. Fun!

Sahamamama
Here's something FREE that we are going to use next year. It looks like it's flexible (and simple) enough for even us to do, LOL! It would have to be simple for it to work out in real life here.
