AngieW in Texas
You don't realize how good it is to be pain-free until you're in pain. A tooth started hurting late Friday afternoon. I suffered through the whole weekend with it by judicious use of Advil, Orajel, ice-cold water, and ice packs. I finally got to the dentist this morning at 8am (he squeezed me in, no appointments were available) and he found an oral surgeon who could squeeze me in today (no appointments available for any oral surgeons in the area because they were all swamped with wisdom tooth extractions). I had to wait in the lobby for 2.5 hours before they were able to fit me in, but it was sheer bliss as soon as they numbed me and it only took about 15 minutes to actually pull the tooth. It's just so nice to be done with that pain. Sometimes it felt like my tooth was going to explode right out of my head. The only way I could manage it was to keep my mouth flooded with ice-cold water. That numbed it enough that I was okay.
Violet Crown
Ouch! I'm so glad you got that fixed. Tooth pain is its own unique misery.
