oasis
Love it! :001_wub: When I was preggo with my son, our dr. first told us he was a girl. We were considering naming "her" Madeleine Rose. :D Edited August 3, 2010 by oasis

Annie Laurie
I think Madeleine goes well with a one syllable middle name, Madeleine Ruth sounds lovely.
amy g.
I've got a Madeleine Claire. Madeleine Ruth is also pretty.
Caitilin
Lovely! (only thing is she wouldn't "match" her sibs with their OT names first, but that's hardly crucial. :) )
mom2agang
Thanks. We just really like the name Madeleine and we have run out of bible names we really like. There is some that are nice but don't "fit" in our family. ( Like Elisabeth. Very nice but when I was growing up we had a foster girl named Elisabeth who bit my mom and the agency made my mom get a tentis and rabi shot. So not the greatest memories) and then there is the normal bible names to similar to family Anna ( dh has a sister Anne) Lydia to close to Linda ( My DH MIL) Rachel ( 1/2 the kids dh grew up with were Rachel) Naomi ( my DH said he isn't naming her after the Judds) Leah ( was the name of my DH MEAN!! Grandma) My husband thinks of everything and anything. And knows someone with that name. That can get annoying! And our orginal plan wasn't bible names. But I decided to add a Bible middle so she won't feel left out.
Cinder
Hey, dh's two aunts are named Madeleine and Ruth. I think they go together well. Cinder
milovany
Yes, it's lovely. For OT names: Keilah isn't on your list, yet (we have friends who used this and pronounce it kay-lah). Tirzah. Eve. Jemimah (I actually do like it!). Deborah.
Crimson Wife
Madeleine is derived from Magdalene so it *is* a Bible name (just NT rather than OT). I think Madeleine Ruth is pretty :)
Teachin'Mine
They flow beautifully!!! :)
LibraryLover
Lovely! (only thing is she wouldn't "match" her sibs with their OT names first, but that's hardly crucial. :) ) That was my absolute first thought. :D If you go with the name, calling her Ruth would work. LibraryLover
Madeleine is derived from Magdalene so it *is* a Bible name (just NT rather than OT). I think Madeleine Ruth is pretty :) Which is why Ruth would be better. :D

jen_pad
I think they flow fine! I like Ruth, well Ruthie better, but it's not my baby! I love the name Esther! I had a dear friend named Esther who went to be with our Lord two yrs ago after a brave and hard fight with breast cancer. She was a wonderful, godly, homeschooling mother. I wish I could be just half the woman she was! Wonderful names and I'm sure this child will be blessed no matter what you decide to name her! mom2agang
Yeah her nickname will probably be Ruthy. We don't do nicknames but sometimes I call them or my hubby does. Like Sarah Grace is called Gracie sometimes.
danybug
I love the name. If this little one in my belly was a girl I wanted to utilize Ruth as either the name or middle name. I think "Ruthie" is adorable.

mhg
Lovely! (only thing is she wouldn't "match" her sibs with their OT names first, but that's hardly crucial. :) ) That was my only thought as to the negative, but the name itself sounds nice.
