HappyGrace
Fun to put in a first-day-of-school gift basket. They have them at Borders and Barnes and Noble. Bought one for each kid in different colors. Younger, who isn't a reader but likes gadgets, can hopefully use it to make his silent reading time more engaging, and I'm using them for *me* to make me accountable to read aloud to each dc for a certain amount of time each day! (I know, bad homeschool mom, not reading aloud! But dd10 is a voracious reader on her own and ds7 would rather play Legos-hoping the timer will get me back on track with making myself put the time into readalouds!) Also dd just used it yesterday and today to time herself in math and try to beat her own time! http://mark-my-time.com/ You could just get a regular timer, but they do really like these! Bbunch5
Rainbow Resource sells them too. My daughter likes it because it counts up and counts down.
DivaMommy
Thank you for this suggestion! I just called my local Borders and they had them...so I had them put one back for me to go get today. Thanks so much again! Andrea
