MomOfOneFunOne
I walk in the mornings, and do a couple of exercise things during the week but none of them includes stretching. I would very much like to get a stretching video that I can do in the mornings after my walk. I really need a vid with one or several 10-15 minute stretching sessions. The idea is to arrive home from my walk, do the 10-15 minutes of stretching, and then hit the shower. I'm not looking for a full workout. 20 minutes would really be a stretch . . . so to speak.:tongue_smilie: Here's a problem, though. I don't want anything yoga. Just not interested. I would just like some kind of stretching that hits all the major areas even if they may alternate. I really hope you can help me b/c I have noticed lately that I'm kind of feeling my age and when I think about what that means, it's getting all stiff and inflexible. I've checked out a few dvds from the library but they're all 45 minute flexibility workouts or yoga. I wouldn't necessarily mind pilates but I haven't seen one that comes in 15 minute sessions and the ones I've seen are really more workouts than just stretching. Any ideas? I know you said no yoga, but I really like Kimberly Fowler's book, The No Om Zone: A No Chanting, No Granola, No Sanskrit Practical Guide to Yoga. She also has The No Om Zone dvd with 15 minute sessions of stretching.

emcap
I love to stretch and I am also not at all interested in yoga, I love this video. http://www.amazon.com/AM-Stretch-Health-Madeleine-Lewis/dp/B00007D00L/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1280854519&sr=8-1 The sessions are longish - 30 mins, but there is a bonus power stretch that is 20 mins and it is my favorite. Hope that helps! Emily
Leanna Tomlinson
http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=safari&rls=en&q=Crunch+Pilates&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=857999504264335553&ei=409YTLPQFIKB8gbsstiGCw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CEAQ8wIwBA#ps-sellers I like this Pilates video. There are four 10 minutes segments. Three focus on a particular body section, and one is for overall stretching. Sometimes I do the whole thing; many mornings I just do one section. HollyDay
I like a dvd called AM and PM Stretch: http://www.amazon.com/AM-Stretch-Health-Madeleine-Lewis/dp/B00007D00L This book, called Stretching, was recommended to me by more than one PT: http://www.amazon.com/Stretching-30th-Anniversary-Bob-Anderson/dp/0936070463/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1280887021&sr=1-
Guest walkerbout
Here's my favorite Stretching DVD.... http://www.thestretchinghandbook.com/products/stretch_dvd.php It contains 3, 8 minute routines. One for the upper body, one for the lower body, and one for the neck, back and core. It also allows you choose a specific muscle group and just do the stretches for that muscle group. And definitely no yoga stuff.
Serendipity
http://www.collagevideo.com/workout-video/cathe-friedrichs-stretch-max-7455 I LOVE this stretching DVD, but I still have only done the first segment. You can search for stretching DVDs at http://www.collage.video Down the left side of the screen, you click on search by: WORKOUT. Then choose stretching. Hth... :)

Not a video, but the stretching exercises on the Couch to 5K program kept me from getting as sore as I expected when I started running. I have even done these sometimes after lifting. It hits a lot of the big muscle groups.
JumpedIntoTheDeepEndFirst
Although not stretching per se I like the Pilates for Weight Loss video. The exercise actually provide some great stretches. I'm not sure where the weight loss part comes in but hey-that's the title. http://www.amazon.com/Pilates-Weight-Loss-Karen-Garcia/dp/B0000VLKVW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1281487969&sr=8-
