Weird or not? Dress code at dd's friend's house...

Recommended Posts

Well, there were folks who didn't even allow "mixed bathing" in a pool! That means having boys and girls swim at the same time for those of you who didn't grow up with legalistic people in your life! :001_smile:

And then there are folks who only allow girls to wear the over the top modest suits that cover a girl from head to tow. The Duggar girls wear these:

I went to a conservative Christian boarding school overseas and we had to have all of our swimwear approved by the staff before wearing it in the group. It had to be a once piece (although I don't think they had tankinis back then) and it had to cover most cleavage and our entire rear end.

That isn't to say that some of us "switched suits" with girls less busty or with smaller rear ends so that it would be "approved" and then we would switch back before heading to the pool!

Anyway, I do understand being modest and I think everyone has his/her own opinion on what modest exactly is.

That said, I would respect her pool rules if you want to keep hanging out with them. As for the other stuff you said, that would give me far greater concern (calling every day? Don't thier phones dial out?)
