I searched but couldn't find many posts...

Has anyone used this program? I just found out about it and it looks like a refreshing change of pace... I'm really burned out on all the planning.

Thoughts? Input? I have four DD (6, 7, 8, and 10). I was all set to try OM but now my thoughts are in a jumble.

Thanks!

MBTP wasn't for us either. I tried out the 5-7 Environment Concept. We worked through the Habitat portion then I sold it. My big girl was about 3.5 when we started with it and I had to add a lot of extra projects to beef it up for her. (she is crazy about science)

I talk about MBTP in my blog in the November/December 2009 posts and I think there are some pictures in December of our projects.

Plus was way too expensive.

I used MBTP off and on for 2 years. I liked the activities and so did my daughter. I just couldn't handle the fact that there was no rhyme or reason to the lessons. One unit you would be studying animals and the next you would be studying measuring or numbers. There was NO flow to it. I needed flow.

I used it this summer for the first time, we used one unit which I got specifically to give us a unit study type break from the same old. We looked at it at the Cincinatti Homeschool Convention and my dd really wanted to give it a try. Both of us like the variety of activities, I like the easy planning. We also did the Poppy lit unit and the Charlotte's Web lit unit and I have purchased 6 more to use this year along with two more units to use. I don't think I could use it as a stand alone curriculum but I think it fits in well with other things, isn't too time consuming, and really engages the creative child.

You could search for MBTP and it might yield more results.

We used the first couple of concepts of the 5-7 level. They were nice, but awfully expensive if bought new. I originally planned to use the 6-8 level this year and even put together nearly all of it used, which was significantly cheaper, but decided to go with Oak Meadow instead.
