4kids4me
I'm just curious...I'd love to get a hot tub, and a salt water one sounds amazing...but I'm wondering if that's possible.
Amy loves Bud
Disclaimer: I really don't know what I"m talking about. :001_smile: Our hot tub, which is integrated into our pool, is saltwater. But I don't think it would work for a freestanding one, because the water would need to circulate through the saltwater system, so that the salt could be converted to chlorine. From what I know, most freestanding hot tubs don't have a pump or circulate the water out of the tub - you just add chlorine directly to the tub as needed. But again, see my disclaimer! sixpence1978
It's funny that this came up. Last night while I was driving home, I saw a store that was advertising salt water hot tubs. I know nothing about them...whether they are different than normal hot tubs or how they work. But I was interested after seeing that sign. So, I suppose it is possible. Melissa in FL
Yes you can. My sister bought a normal hot tub and converted it to a salt water system. I think it's just adding a salt converter next to the pump and filter just like in a pool. It's just a lot smaller then the ones for the pool. They love theirs!
