Let's start a thread for Spanish DVD's for kid's that are not "curriculum"

I'm having my kids watch Spanish DVD's this year for "fun". Yeah, it's a trick. I just don't have time to teach anything else, so they are watching Spanish DVD's and Sign Language DVD's for their TV time. I'm really looking for DVD's that can be purchased. Everytime I get into something online for free, it gets pulled off. So far, I've got three of this set from Whistlefritz:

Anyone want to list there favorites? We could get a good list going.

Almost all the recent Disney movies and re-releases have a Spanish language track. So do some of the Magic School Bus DVDs, although not all.

 

And check your TV listings. We get several channels in Spanish here, which, among other things, broadcast Plazo Sesame (Sesame Street in Spanish).

I have the 3 Whistlefritz DVDs and the CD to go with it. They are very good!

 

My kids are LOVING the Susy Dorn DVDs. They want to watch them repeatedly and they are already knowing and using some of the spanish daily.

We have the 2 DVDs and the Cds to go with them. We also have her Christmas CD.

Mi Guittari by Calico Spanish is another really good CD. We also have the DVD with the music videos.

I agree about looking to see which of the movies you already own could be played with Spanish dialogue. When I take movies that my kids know almost by heart and play them in Spanish with subtitles, they love it. It is especially helpful after they are proficient readers. I found a book that actually teaches based on this concept, Listen 'n' Learn Spanish with Your Favorite Movies. This is my favorite new resource for Spanish. I love this book!

 

I'm all ears for more resources though. I would love to add to my Spanish (no teaching required by Mom) resources. :D

We like Whistlefritz too and also Mi Guitarri. I know these aren't dvd's or cd's....but here are some nice Spanish workbooks I've had for years (when you go to the link, they are the 3 books below the first one). I like that they have the phonetic spelling (for me!).
