Weather roll call anyone?

Recommended Posts

Probably around 78 at 5:20. Today is a cool day. It has been a VERY hot, humid summer here. I LOVE it!!!! Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't like it if it were 100, but I'm liking the 85 - 90 range. Not so hot we can't go do something, but it feels great to come inside. With weather like this, I'll definitely appreciate fall this year!!!

Yup. And the pool water is too hot to make it relaxing. :glare:

I *despise* summer.

And we still have all of August to get through. Sigh.

That is the TRUTH! Like warm bath water. Blech!

I am afraid to even think this could turn into one of those years that we are still wearing shorts on Thanksgiving!

Finally stopped raining. Now the sump pump is only running every minute instead of every fifteen seconds.

And this makes me happy because I've moved 5,000 books in the last few days getting them away from the damp. It could be worse. Folks half an hour north of us had sewage in their basements.

Ugh! Ours gave out a few weeks ago...lost are a whole lot of books, rugs, furniture, etc. Even after it's dry, everything stinks like Musty Ick. Keep a vigilant eye on that pump!

I am so sorry for you! I think I may have Dh help move some of the good furniture up tonight. But where am I going to put it? And I just moved the books back down to the basement, rearranging the whole area so they are on the dry side. Now you've got me paranoid that the basement will flood. My back can't handle the thought of moving them all back upstairs. What to do?:001_unsure:
