Logic for 6th...

This will be the first year for my 6th grade ds to be doing Logic. I was hoping for some ideas as to what to do. Do most follow SWB's suggestions, or are there other suggestions? Thanks!!

This year, 6th grade, we are going to use The Fallacy Detective and The Thinking Toolbox as a sort of intro. Next year we will move into a formal curriculum.

Several of us did Critical Thinking Books 1 and 2 and there are a couple of threads discussing it. Here's one:

I have a couple of MindBenders books ready and have also purchased The Fallacy Detective. Additionally, someone posted the following links to online pre-logic puzzles, and I have them bookmarked for us to use if we need them.

After the first semester of school I'll have to see how far we've gotten with these. At that point, I may go ahead with one of the Critical Thinking Co.'s books. We're just going to take a slow launch into logic, saving the formal approach for 7th & 8th grades.

We did the THinking Toolbox and Fallacy Detective and just started the Art or Argument. It is going very well so far.
