dcjlkplus3
Does anyone have the instructor's guide for noeo physics 1? I'm trying to figure out how they break some of the more biographical books down so that I can incorporate into our level 2 plan. We will be doing their physics 2 with a 4th grader and 2nd grader. The only problem I'm having with doing level 2 for both is that 2 of the books are too advanced for my youngers (dd7 - 2nd grade, ds5 - kindergarten). So I thought for those weeks when the older is reading those books (about Archimedes and Galileo), her sister and brother and I could read the books from level 1 (How Ben Franklin Stole the Lightning, How Do you Lift A Lion?, What Makes the Light Bright Thomas Edison?, Did it Take Creativity to Find Relativity Albert Einstein? and Starry Messenger). plain jane
I have both TMs so I can try to help you, but I'm not entirely clear on what you are asking, sorry. What exactly is it that you want to know? Also, I'm not sure if I can answer your question without violating the publisher's copyright. I'd like to help you if I can. :)
dcjlkplus3
I don't know about copyright violation - that didn't occur to me. :tongue_smilie: If it is a copyright violation, I'll just muddle through on my own. I was just wondering how they broke up the reading (page # to page #) of some of the books in level I. ( for example in level 2 Archimedes and the Door if Science - p.54-61, 62-69, 70-80) The books I am interested in are: How Ben Franklin Stole the Lightning How Do You Lift a Lion? What Makes the Light Bright, Thomas Edison? Did it Take Creativity to Find Relativity, Albert Einstein? Starry Messenger Pretty much I want something to read to my younger ones (5 and 7) while their big sister is reading the Archimedes and Galileo books recommened in level II and I wanted to try and plan it out. I think that my sharing that would be a violation of their copyright because the scheduling is the heart of the program. If you are looking at having the younger kids do their own reading while their sister does hers, I'd take how long she is to take for one of her books and stretch out the youngers' books to match. I'm sorry I can't be more help. :(

buttacol
If this helps at all, most of those books are scheduled over only 2 weeks. So How Do You Lift a Lion will be schedule for maybe 2 days 1 week and 2 days a second week. I revamped for my kids and squeezed half the book in one day and the other half the other day, finishing in half the time. They are so short as it is. dcjlkplus3
I was able to find most of them at the library and we'll just see what we feel like. I think that combined the books from physics 2 are about 25 days worth of reading. We'll easily be able to add in the others - I just won't try and plan that part.:001_smile:
