European Geography?

My kids have learned much of their geography by using Seterra.

It is a free (and very fast) download and it rocks!! Very easy to use - even my 5yo knows most of her countries. You just click on whatever country it tells you to click on; if you are correct the country will turn white. It gives you 3 tries before it tells you by blinking green. Wonderful program and it is FREE!!

It also teaches continents, oceans, rivers, mountain peaks, flags, and there is even a quiz about each country, too. And did I mention that this is free? :)

I'll be posting our plans for Europe this weekend on my blog. Our plan may not be as thorough as you want, though, because we are covering the entire world in a school year. Europe gets about 4-5 weeks. We are using The Trail Guide to World Geography as a spine. My 9 year old answers the daily questions and does most of the specific map work while my 6 year old does general map work using Evan-Moor's Beginning Geography book and creates a mini book of animals for each continent. We cook food, make crafts, read books, listen to music, and watch travel shows about each area and then do some narrations to create a world notebook.
