wy_kid_wrangler04
I have song school latin and Latin for Children A. I am doing Song School Latin with my kindergartner and Latin for Children A with my 7th grader. My question is-- what would you do with a 3rd grader? I have seen threads that people start it in 3rd, and I have seen threads where it was to intense for 4th and 5th graders. I am thinking about letting my dd get another good solid year of english grammer in and have her do Song School Latin with us then do LfC next year (or in 5th) Maybe I will have her watch the DVD with her sister but thats it for now along with Song School Latin.... What do you veteran latin teachers recommend?
Ali in OR
My dd was fine doing LFC A in 3rd grade, and if I already had one child using it I would just have them do it together. However I do sit with dd and we watch the DVD together and go through the book together. I don't think it would have worked quite so well for her to do it independently. I think I ask good questions as I am trying to figure it out, and she learns from my own learning process.
