missmoe
I'm going and am wondering, if anyone else will be there? Would love to meet some of the hive!

Daisy
I've never heard of this. Can you send me a link? I'd love to go to a convention but it just never works out. I spend all my money on books. ;)
missmoe
Daisy, If you're in hotten than heck CA, you may be close to this conference!;) http://chnfamilyexpo.com/ It would be lovely if you could come.
Daisy
I can't go this time, but I'm going to bookmark this for next year. Hubby had neck surgery this summer and I'm still being nurse maid. I loved the sessions offered. It sounds like so much fun!
Julie in CA
Not going to that one, but I am going to the Valley Home Educators in Modesto this weekend. It's my favorite out of all of the homeschool conventions I've been to in CA. Cheap, great speakers, nice exhibit hall, and did I mention cheap? :) http://www.valleyhomeeducators.org/ Edited July 28, 2010 by Julie in CA

I didn't realize there were so many different events. That is really awesome. I'm in Bakersfield, btw. Close enough to attend both events if I had the time. Close enough to attend both events if I had the time. I'm truly amazed every year I go to Modesto. $25 for both days, payable at the door, and the speakers are incredibly high-caliber. If you ever can make it, that's the one to go to. Over the past 15 years, I've been to SCOPE in Sacramento, a small conference in Redding, CHEA in Long Beach, CHEA in the Bay area, and Valley Home Educators in Modesto, and Modesto wins. I don't go to the others any more.
missmoe
Anybody else in CA thinking about this? Or in the area--that might want to get together. I'm going with a friend without any kids! Julie---I'll have to think about MOdesto for next year.
