yarrow
I bought a used leather sofa from a older lady that's a neighbor. Ever since we've had the sofa home and for the first time in 1 year, I'm using my inhaler every single night since it's been here. It has an odor but it's not a chemical or leather smell. More like a perfume but not quite. I've wiped it down with a damp cloth soaked in vinegar and have bought odor absorbers that I put in cushions. Any other ideas for getting rid of an odor on leather? The lady who had it was a severe asthmatic & now I'm worried it the sofa that was aggravating her asthma!
KidsHappen
About a year ago we bought a leather sofa from an older couple who had a wood burning stove in the living room. The sofa smelled like a cmpfire for about a month and then it went away. Does really have any smell at all now.
Tap
Can you put it outside in the sun for a few days and let it air out?
anissa
Can you put it outside in the sun for a few days and let it air out? :iagree: we bought used furniture that smelled really bad, put it out it the sun for a day and the odor was gone. Of course, it was not leather....
