RainbowSprinkles
First, if you ordered the printed book, how long did it take to get to you? Does anyone do Biology in a 2 times a week schedule? And if you do, how much time do you spend on it a day? Thanks!
HollyB
I think mine took about a week to arrive. We are starting next week, so I can't help you with your second question. I am thinking about doing the two day option, but the lessons look so short that I may just go ahead with the five day schedule. I already have a lot of extra books to read along with it, so it may be better for us to spread it out.

That's great to know! I was also planning on adding in some extra reading. May I ask which books you're planning on reading? I'd like to do the 5-day schedule, but we already have so many other things planned that I just don't think I'll be able to do it every day. DaffodilDreams
Mine took less than a week to arrive. We haven't started the new school year yet, so I can't answer the question about days of week and time. We will most likely aim for a few minutes daily rather than one or two long sessions. Pata
Just to clarify, the two day schedule is not actually available yet. It's in the works and should be done by the end of August (possibly mid-September depending on how well the little one treats me :)). Those who have ordered within the past six months will get an eVersion of it, if requested. The printed books won't actually change until late October. As for shipping of the printed books, they ship by media mail out of VA usually within 24 hrs of your order, so they should get there in less than a week, if all goes well. Also, if you are interested, there is a list of supplemental books at the Elemental Science yahoo group (link in my siggy) under the Biology files that another ES mom put together. Hope all that helps and if you have anymore questions, I'm around to answer them. Edited July 27, 2010 by Pata making a change

sarawatsonim
I got mine in 3 days and I'm in Canada. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed. I am in the process right now of completing my weekly schedules for this year. I am scheduling the Elemental science work into 2 days a week. I just read through the weekly plan and then figure out what a reasonable amount of work each session would be. I have scheduled each session to be an hour, I don't know if it will take that long though.
~Tara~
We got ours within a week. I've not started nor scheduled things out yet, so, no comment on that part. But I had to jump in here and say "hello" to the creator of ES...I hadn't 'seen' you around before. The program looks great! My 8 yr old is excited to start Physics..I'm actually excited about science this year as well. I haven't been able to say that for at least 3 years. :) Thanks! I can't wait to get it though. :)

HollyB
Sorry, I meant that I was doing my own two day scheduling. I didn't know there was going to be an official one coming out; I would've saved myself some time! :) I have a whole bookcase full of science books to use with it, but my daughter's favorites are the Let's Read And Find Out series, Magic School Bus, and Rookie Science books.
