thescrappyhomeschooler
Here is a link to it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Blizzard-Jim-Murphy/dp/1883332915/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1280187312&sr=1-1 I was thinking of getting it from the library on CD for my boys to listen to on the way to Niagara Falls because we will be studying weather and storms in science at the time we leave on our little trip. It says it was written for 5-8 graders, but since we will be listening, reading level isn't a problem. I just wonder if some of the content is too mature for my 6 & 7 yr. olds. MBM
I think it would be better to read in summer than winter. ;) Yes, it's disturbing. Some parts could leave an indelible impression on your children. I think ages five and six would be a bit young for some of the events, but ultimately, it just depends on your children. Some would freak out, while others wouldn't be phased at all.
