Shawna in Texas
What is the difference between the 60's versions and the 70's versions? I read that anything under '75 is rigorous, but one post saying a child preferred the '65 to the '75 (sorry, can't remember who). Thanks. :D
swimmermom3
Shawna, check with Jane in NC. She has a wealth of information on Dolciani. I suspect she'll see this thread and check in tomorrow morning.:D
Jane in NC
Shawna, check with Jane in NC. She has a wealth of information on Dolciani. I suspect she'll see this thread and check in tomorrow morning.:D Predictable, aren't I? To answer the OP's question, let me note that there seems to be a lack of consistency between editions. Some have solutions bound in the back, some not. Some of the oldies have these nifty transparencies bound in the books--again some not. Further, the older books lack ISBNs which make purchases even more challenging. People order what they think is a student book and get a teacher's. Having said that, I would happily buy and use any of the '60's or '70's books. The significant change came in the '80's when some of the harder problems were scratched and BASIC code added. Beth in Central TX did consider research when ordering the entire series. Her Lessons Learned on the older Dolciani Editions is most illuminating. Hope this helps. Shawna in Texas
Thank you. I was most concerned with content. I guess it's time for me to start on my Dolciani hunt. :nopity:
