Yes, I have a large nightstand. :001_smile: I could fit more on there but then there'd be no room for a lamp and my sleep mate, LOL. This list doesn't include the stack on the floor next to the bed, the books under the bed (library stuff), and the stack on the bathroom floor.

I don't know how you guys concentrate on so many books at one time!
I can't imagine not having that many. I've always done this. I rarely am reading more than one work of fiction at a time, but I always have loads of non-fiction going on. This is especially true if I am delving deep and want to read five different authors on the same topic, for example.

I need to be concurrently reading at least 3 books at a time. Any mood that hits, I'm ready to read!!
WSS. I usually have at least 6-8 books going in earnest with others waiting patiently for me. Some I am reading thoroughly, others I am speed reading. There's usually one I am marking up with a pencil by writing notes in the margins. Edited by Geek

i have an unpacked box from a recent(5 months ago) move beside my bed which is handy for piling things on top of.

recently i've been referencing wtm and lcc 1 and 2 a lot while spinning my wheels...i need to take a break.

what puts me in my happy place before bed is reading anything by nigella lawson, or watching snippets of her on youtube...though it can also make me hungry.

i also love listening to david sedaris, so cathartic.

Pre-reads (and/or getting ready for finding supplements):

All American History 2

Apologia Biology

I really should move the next level of MCT from the bookshelf to my night stand. Maybe I'll do that today.

Fun summer reading just because:

Crispin #2 & #3

a new homeschooling book entitled Free Range Learning

a couple of Rebecca Caudle Award nominated books

brochure on taking the GRE

I will go through and read all the responses. For me it's...The Bible and the Rainbow Resource catalog...'nuff said! lololol...

I am waiting for my Amazon order. In it I have, MN Mammals and MN Trees (field guides for the kids), The Encyclopedia of Country Living and ummm, a book about school and kid's with the "Edison Trait" as she calls it. I forget the name, but it sounds VERY much like my Aspie 7 y/o ds, and it had good reviews, so I bought it.

I'm sure I will bring them to the cabin with us for some light reading, lol.
