What are you planning for your rising 5th grader for outlining??

Recommended Posts

I just tried to find the "Note Taking & Outlining" books from Frank Schaffer Publications recomended in the History chapter for Logic stage in the 3rd edition of WTM. I can't seem to find them. They are 2003 publications.

Also, I still haven't totally unpacked after moving in November 1, so I can't find my old editions of WTM.

Can anyone help me figure this out?:001_huh:

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Before you buy, read the outlining instructions in the 2009 Edition of WTM. It may be all that you need. The Remedia Publication will get the job done however.

:iagree:

My rising fifth grader has learned outlining from R&S English 5. (She started it a few months ago.)

Can't someone just post the basics of outlining and we'll call it a day.

All I've used are the instructions in the new 2009 WTM. They made more sense to us than the outlining book samples I looked at, and are universally applicable. Read the instructions, type up the questions, post near your child's writing area (ours is on the wall by the computer), and voila. OK, not voila - I did walk my son through the process a few times, but he "got" what to do. He still needs help at times, but the questions steer him back on the right track of thinking.

I don't have a copy of the new WTM. Is it the same as the old edition?
