HI! Have you looked at A Reason for Science? We did this for first grade the past year. It went through a little bit of everything. They have a book for each grade level. Also, Simply Charlotte Mason has a 106 Days of Creation that we are going to do- looks great! Sorry if this isn't the type of studies (it's NOT secular) you're interested in, but thought it wouldn't hurt to mention them.

Apart from Sonlight and Singapore which other companies offer general science for 2nd or 3rd grade?

Thanks

We started using McGraw-Hill Science when we put my oldest in Calvert for a time. I eventually picked up the entire series, 1st -6th grade. It's a textbook, secular, general science approach. Amazon carries the older edition we use, as well as the newer edition.

This is the 3rd grade older edition on Amazon that my 3rd graders use. :001_smile:

It won't cover several topics, but have you looked at R.E.A.L. Science Odyssey? I bought Life science for my ds to do next year. It is secular, but very neutral. It has lots of good ideas in it, plus structured lessons and experiments weekly. There are book and website lists for further study.

If you want a secular one (neutral) , I think one of the best is Real science 4 kids. It's REAL science ! (and I have a science degree) .

My second choice would be Elemental science .

I am looking at a science program too but prefer it to be included in a complete Christian curriculum . It looks like it's hard to find a complete curriculum with a meaty science , so I will probably supplement with RS4K .
