Ohio12
I just read Stuart Little to dd and I just loved it. So funny and the language was just beautiful. However...the ending was SO anticlimactic. Any thoughts on this?

Any thoughts on this?I never cared for the book, but I like that everything is before him at the end... rather like life. :) So many children's books have pat endings. Lisa at Home
When he was finished, I asked him what he thought about the ending. He said that he was pretty sure that, since this was a library book, someone must have ripped out the last chapter. He was planning on getting a different copy, so that he could find out the ending. We had a nice discussion about how not all books end in the same way, and how authors write differently from one another (and even themselves at times!). ~Lisa
Colleen
http://67.202.21.157/forums/showthread.php?t=13395&highlight=stuart As you can see by the replies, a lot of people agree with you. I'm not in that camp, though. I love the book just the way it is.:)
gandpsmommy
They really liked Charlotte's Web and loved The Trumpet of the Swan, but we all agreed that Stuart Little was... well, just a little odd.
