2smartones
My son loves math "books", so I wonder about this one. It only has one review, saying the storyline is childish. I wonder if the storyline would be appropriate for younger students who are at a higher academic level, though? http://www.amazon.com/Journey-Al-Gebra-Land-Algebra/dp/1929229437/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274299701&sr=1-

Kathy in Richmond
We have this one and my kids both read it sometime in elementary school. It's struck me as a Phantom Tollbooth wannabe; it's not as good as that, but it's not bad, either. Both kids enjoyed it back at that stage of the game. Sounds like a good choice for your situation. Wendy Isdell also has another book along the same lines, The Chemy Called Al. ~Kathy
2smartones
Thank you! I really liked Phantom Tollbooth. We need to get it back out again. It was a little over my son's head the last time we read it.
