mama27
Do any of you use the Teacher's Notes for rhetoric level instead of the books or in addition to the books?
April in CA
Hi Mama27, The TOG teacher's notes are for you, the teacher, to prepare you to lead a discussion with your students. On a couple of occasions I have allowed my boys to read the teacher's notes instead of the scheduled books - generally during weeks when we have been traveling. On those occasions I have allowed them to read the discussion outlines for history and literature as well. I would never require a student to read all the scheduled books and the teacher's notes -that would be just too much! Once in a while students need to do some additional outside research on a topic; you could certainly have your student read the teacher's notes at those times. Hope this helps! Blessings, April
