Anyone else get a call from a company called The University Prep Center?

Recommended Posts

A woman calls from a place called The University Prep center, and asks if she speak to (my 16 yo son's name) mom or dad and begins to tell me how he has requested info. Not "we think this might interest you", but "he has requested information". :glare: A lie.

I told her I knew it was a marketing call since I know he has not requested info, and not to call me again--and she KEEPS TALKING! I hung up.

We've got the SAT prep covered, and even if I didn't, do people really do business with a company when their policy is to hook you by lying to you? In the very first sentence of the call?? I wouldn't care how wonderful their product is.

Their marketing tactics are INSULTING. Is it just a given that people have no idea what's going on in their teen's lives?
