I am going to be teaching the language portion of an SAT prep class this summer. While I have tutored individuals before, this will be the first class I have taught. Right now I'm plowing through SAT guides trying to rate them.

Which one have you found to be the most helpful, and WHY? PLEASE don't just answer the poll; please tell me why also.

We coupled Barron's with real SAT tests. Both my oldest and my middle son said it was great. They also said the real test was easier than Barrons - which I find as a plus as it improves confidence when they take the test.

What Barrons offers that the real SAT book doesn't is explanations and a "how to" and "why" review overall for each section. The real book offers explanations/answers for each question, but that's it - no overall review.

When we flipped through the others at the bookstore (not sure all you listed were there), Barrons stood out as the one we wanted to buy. I don't remember the specifics of why though.
