EKS
Would one book per month in addition to the textbook for each course be too much?
Liza Q
Depends on the books, I think. Moby Dick was long and The Pearl was short. I assigned 15 books and several short stories over 34 weeks. And, since I used Notgrass, my daughter had the readings from American Voices on top of the text. Oh - I did not use the Notgrass Lit but chose my own books. hth
Susan C.
Would one book per month in addition to the textbook for each course be too much? It would be over here, we have a slow reader that would bog down with that much. If the books were the lit. program, it would be better. Skadi
We assign about 25 literary works per year. We include a fair number of essays and poems, and we also try to get the longer works of American fiction on audiobook. :)
