Geo
I am in the throes of deciding between the two. I'd like to hear reviews from both approaches. Right now, I am leaning toward Hakim's books. I find them stimulating and rich because of the weaving of history, people, philosophy and science. I am not so sure about taking a heavy literature approach on the subject, though we would read several biographies from the BF list even if we went with The Story of Science. My children will be almost 9 and 12 next Fall. Geo Edited May 6, 2010 by Geo
LisaKinVA
Hakim's Story of Science also has a teacher/student guide by Johns Hopkins...I'm planning on getting the books, but I have no idea regarding their levels (haven't seen anything in person).
