Cortana
How helpful have you found these books to be? Are they worth getting or don't waste my time & money?
2_girls_mommy
I think totally worth the $. But I do buy used, so I haven't spent much $. I use the art and music for a spine for those subjects which works really well. There is always something interesting to read in the literature and poetry. I can often find folk stories that go with our SOTW. You can use the common sayings for copywork. I have used some of their math tips and activities. We use the poems and online poetry lessons for poetry units. I also like them if we are going to gma's for a few days. If I pack this and a math book, we will have plenty of work and reading without packing all of our other books. It just seems there is always something to read out of them. I like them too for things that we are not in in history. If it is Columbus Day, and we are in the ancients, I can pull it out and read to them about Columbus that day.
