olan719
Could someone please tell me the format of these lessons? I've searched online for sample pages, but haven't had any luck. I have the IG, and we used book K this year. But honestly, I haven't taught it formally and the girls just use them for practice and coloring. I haven't been too impressed with book K. I haven't pushed handwriting too hard this year, but they have improved greatly on their own. Next year I plan to continue copywork and practice without a lot of formal handwriting lessons. I'm just trying to figure out if these are "worth it" or not, considering I will be buying two. I wish I could just look at them ahead of time. It would save me from buying curriculum I don't like! :tongue_smilie: Thanks for any help!
Sue G in PA
Book A is a bit different from the K book. Book A is like the other levels and is set up with short, daily lessons. Each day the child practices a letter and a word or two from the short scripture verses that they study each week. There are 5 lessons for each week and Day 5 has the child copy the entire scripture on the Border sheets. We really like ARFH.
SilverMoon
I like those books for learning to write, and for learning cursive, but that's all we use them for. Once my kids can form all the letters well I switch them to just copywork for penmanship. :)

Not much different than a printable from the internet. Glad to hear this seems more "substantial". And I do like the copying of scripture. Thank you! SophiaH
You can almost always find samples of materials at CBD and Rainbow Resource. Here are the samples for ARFH A: CBD (click on 'Sample') RR

This looks so much different than Book K. I think I may get them after all. Thanks again!

I didn't think it was worth near $15 and I didn't like that they don't use real bible verses (I know - I'm picky.):001_smile: I am using Pentime now.
