momtolgd
My wall mounted pencil sharpener died. Any recommendations for a good quality sturdy wall mounted one?

Ailaena
Blick had a selection of manual sharpeners that had double cutters. And considering they are the only type of pencil sharpeners that I have ever found to work, they are reasonably priced! http://www.dickblick.com/categories/pencilsharpeners/
Sue G in PA
Which Blick sharpener did you get? I need a new sharpener that will not break after a few months. My expensive electric one stopped sharpening correctly after a few months of regular use.
RanchGirl
I'm so sorry for your loss! ;) Seriously, I would really miss my pencil sharpener if it died, I just love it and use it several times a day. Mine is a Panasonic auto-stop electric pencil sharpener. It's over 20 years old - it belonged to dh in college - and it's still going strong. It is a desk top version, not wall mounted. Ailaena
Which Blick sharpener did you get? I need a new sharpener that will not break after a few months. My expensive electric one stopped sharpening correctly after a few months of regular use. I didn't actually get one from Blick, I ended up with a hand me down from a school that was closing. However, friends of ours has had a Boston for at least a few years and it is awesome! They have 6 kids including 2 artists, and even use it for colored pencils! My mother has had a vacuum-style one for as long as I can remember and it has never needed sharpening or fixing or anything, it is amazing. I looked and looked for something like it to no avail, and eventually gave up after our many failed electric ones. We switched to mechanical pencils and then push pencils when Target had them for $0.50/12 when, finally, our day for a decent sharpener came! Happy day! Too excited about it... Edited April 22, 2010 by Ailaena
