Julie of KY
Do any of you do physics lab experiments with your students? Do you use a lab curriculum or random experiments from the web, etc. I want to do a fun physics lab that seriously gets into some of the physics concepts, but doesn't have to be heavy on math. I'm not afraid to buy some supplies and I do have the background to teach it. Do you have any suggestions for me?
Miss Marple
I would suggest the book, Practical Physics Labs by Peter Goodwin (Walch Publishers). I've used selections from it with my high school Conceptual Physics co-op class. Also, the Conceptual Physics, Hewitt, (The High School version) lab manual has quite a few experiments that are easily done without complex equipment. EKS
Have you looked at LabPaqs?
Julie of KY
Thanks. The Hewitt labs look interesting. Also, it looks as if the author is working on a new lab book and I'm not sure when this will be out.
