TravelingChris
My dd wants schools in warmer places and Pepperdine is one place that is warm. Unlike the other poster's child, she is a pre-law person and is leaning towards things like psychology, economics, political science, or maybe criminology. What opinions do others have of Pepperdine? Her stats line up very well with theirs.
creekland
Both the Princeton Review and Iped sites were quite informative for me. Princeton Review gave me a nice overview of what to expect from students that go there. Iped gave me the info that Biological or Chemical sciences weren't their top (or even close) priority. Check out how many are majoring or getting higher level degrees in what your dd wants - I don't recall specifically. IF they had been higher with their Bio/Biochem and/or Chem, I'd probably still have them on my "consider" list for my son to think about and see if he felt like he fit in. Since he really wants research in undergrad, Pepperdine simply doesn't fit. I'm not at all familiar with their denomination. I never got that far in my search.
