Rhondabee
once he Fell In LOVE!!!! (cough, cough, sputter, sputter, faint dead on the floor!!!!) Yes, the kid who has always lived by the motto that a B was a great grade, especially if you didn't have to study for it, is no longer satisfied with 95's on his Algebra - - get this - - because he has "PROMISES TO KEEP" !!!!!!! And he has "life plans" now. Which...is really all a "good" thing. But, holy cow! I feel like someone has pulled the rug out from under me, and that I hardly know this "man" anymore. I'm beginning to understand my DH's "secret" stash of wine coolers in the downstairs freezer - LOL!!!
Miss Marple
Ha! I told my dh the other day that ds#2 just needed to find a girl to impress and then he'd be motivated. It worked wonders with my oldest...I guess impressing mom just isn't the same thing :D

lionfamily1999
This is on my list of things I don't even want to think about (because heart break follows so closely so often)... I remember being a motivating force though :p I hope you like the girl in question ;)
FloridaLisa
Interesting. That happened with dh as well. Completely changed his life plans and priority for achieving academically. For my oldest, it was finally having a vision and goals that he owned that gave him full-on self-motivation scholastically. Lisa
