dirty ethel rackham
I need a resource for teaching ds geometry proofs. He has been doing Singapore's NEM and has a very good understanding of geometry, but he has not learned proofs. I haven't written a proof in 25 years (since my last college math class my sr. year.) I really want him to learn how to write proofs well, but don't need a full geometry class. Options?
hsbeth
Life of Fred is very thorough as far as proofs and constructions go. Plus, lots of kids find it entertaining. It's written to the student and has thorough explanations. At around $29, it's not that pricey either. We used it successfully as a stand-alone course this year.
