Must see movies and documentaries?

Recommended Posts

Along the same lines of creating a list of books to be read during high school, what about movies and documentaries?

I saw the discussion about Food, Inc. on the General board and would really like to watch it. I also just took Expelled out of the library.

Does anyone have suggestions for various movies and documentaries that would be useful to watch and discuss during high school?

Thanks.

I'm a huge movie fan, so I think this is a great idea. I found a site that lists good history movies, and I agree with the list. I think I've seen all but two. About half of the list is American history, which may not be what you are looking for, but the last part covers world history. Here's the link: http://www.epinions.com/content_1965662340

The Worst Jobs in History with Tony Robinson is a fantastic series that begins in the Dark Ages and moves up to Victorian times. You can watch it on YouTube. :)

I forgot all about this - thank you for the reminder! We just watched the Dark Ages episodes. :001_smile:
